Acoustic box S System Wichmann ®. S = Standard = Sound decoupling of acoustic box and cable route to improve airborne sound values. The acoustic box S does not protect against fires, but ensures peace and quiet. It is particularly suitable for reducing unwanted noise transmission through cable routes in clinical areas, laboratories, studios and similar facilities. It consists of a sheet steel housing that is equipped with pyramid-shaped waffle foam and is closed on both sides with highly sound-insulating SoniFoam plugs. The acoustic box S is available to match the common dimensions of cable routes. In addition, the flexible fastening system and the cutting of the foam plugs can be adapted to the widths of existing cable routes. The fastening system is designed so that the acoustic box and cable route are largely sound-decoupled. The acoustic box can be opened and placed around the cable route even after the cables have been laid. After the cable route adjustment, the acoustic box is mortared into the existing wall opening. After closing the acoustic box with the plugs provided, any remaining openings are sealed with a permanently elastic sealant (e.g. silicone or acrylic). Installation is carried out in accordance with the enclosed installation instructions. No processor validation is required for installation.
