The cable box consists of a galvanized sheet steel housing, lined with fire protection agent that foams up in the event of a fire. The fire sealing is functionally separate from the cold smoke seal and works independently of the seal. The functionality of the cable box is not interrupted by subsequent installation work. The folding cable box is the innovative solution for sealing off existing cables and lines. It is delivered as a flat element and can be installed quickly without tools. Simply fold by hand at the specified bending edges and assemble around existing cables and lines to form a finished cable box. Then foam with the EasyFoam fire protection assembly foam B1. The assembly foam is a special fire protection assembly foam with high stability and easily controllable expansion behavior. The EasyFoam foam plugs are used for cold smoke sealing. They have a much lower density and are therefore easier and quicker to process than, for example, fire protection plugs. The sealing to the cables and the housing is done with a permanently elastic sealant (e.g. silicone or acrylic) or with the assembly foam already mentioned. Installation in light partition walls and in solid walls from 100 mm thick. The EasyFoam TW90/30 folding box can be 100 percent filled. It is approved for sealing off cables and lines of all types up to 20 mm in diameter and plastic empty pipes in accordance with DIN EN 61386 up to 35 mm in diameter. When filling, no gaps are necessary between cables, cables and empty pipes and empty pipes between each other. In addition, the sealed cable box can be installed without filling as a reserve bulkhead. The cable box can be re-wired at any time while maintaining full functionality. Installation is carried out in accordance with the enclosed installation instructions or ABG Z-19.53-2444. No processor validation is required for installation.
