The cable box consists of a galvanized sheet steel housing, lined with fire protection agent that foams up in the event of a fire. The cable sealing is delivered as an industrially prefabricated and functional component ready for assembly and is mortared or plastered in on site. Incorrect and over-occupancy are almost impossible due to the design. The cable box with smoke gas apron was developed for the case where fire compartments have to be crossed with flying cabling. A cable sealing is often sealed against fire and cold smoke with sealing compounds such as fire protection putty, mortar or fire protection paint. However, since cables sometimes have to be removed again on the same day, for example in event buildings, this is not always practical. With the smoke apron for the Wichmann cable box, the interior of the cable box remains open and the passage is only sealed against cold smoke at the front with the smoke apron. The apron is made of cold smoke-tight, hard-wearing, aluminized felt. The cables routed through the cable box are fire-resistantly sealed by the packages that foam up in the event of a fire. To route a cable through, the felt is simply untied. After the cable has been pulled through, the apron is quickly and easily tied back up. This ensures cold smoke and fire-resistant fire sealing for more than 90 minutes. Installation in light partition walls and solid walls from 100 mm thick. In solid ceilings from 150 mm thick. The cable box can be occupied by individual cables up to 50 mm in diameter. Installation is carried out in accordance with the enclosed installation instructions or ABG Z-19.53-2517. No processor validation is required for installation.
