Easy installation
No complicated settings are required for this switch. Installation is quick and easy via plug & play.
Flexible with Power-over-Ethernet
Four connections on the DGS-1008P support Power-over-Ethernet. This means that compatible end devices (e.g. IP cameras, access points) can be optimally positioned regardless of power sources. The switch supplies them with power and data simultaneously via Cat. 5 network cabling. In the event of an unexpected overvoltage, a mechanism interrupts the power supply, thereby protecting both the switch and the end devices.
Cable diagnostic function
The DGS-1008P is equipped with a cable diagnostic function so that cable breaks and short circuits can be identified and rectified particularly easily. It automatically checks all connected network cables and signals errors via its LEDs on the front of the housing.
QoS (Quality of Service)
The 802.1p QoS protocol ensures reliable data transmission at all times. Time-critical data packets are prioritized so that there are no interruptions in applications such as Voice over IP or multimedia streams.
The Green Switch
With the integrated D-Link Green technology, power consumption and thus operating costs are significantly reduced - without compromising on performance and functionality.
