The Homematic IP light sensor is part of the Homematic IP smart home system and measures the brightness in outdoor areas. The values measured can be displayed and evaluated using the free Homematic IP smartphone app. The Homematic IP light sensor offers a wide range of possible uses in conjunction with other Homematic IP devices, such as roller shutter and blind actuators or switch sockets. The light sensor measures the light values in lux and passes the measured information on to the linked Homematic IP devices, which react according to the previously defined configuration. For example, the awning can be extended when the sun is shining brightly, or the facade light can be switched on at dusk while the shutters are lowered.
