As part of the modular frequency converter SINAMICS G120 (consisting of power unit, control unit, operator panel), the PM240-2 Power Modules (protection class IP20) have a brake chopper (four-quadrant applications) and are suitable for a wide range of applications in general mechanical engineering. The PM240-2 power unit can be flexibly combined with various control units depending on the scope of the application and safety requirements (e.g. STO, SS1, SBC, SLS, SDI, SSM). In combination with the CU230-2, CU240x-2 and CU250S-2 control units, the functional SINAMICS G120 frequency converter is created. The PM240-2 with protection class IP20 is a built-in device for the control cabinet with a power range of 0.55 kW up to 250 kW, as well as three voltage variants 200 V, 400 V and 690 V. The power modules are available unfiltered or with an integrated Class A line filter and in seven sizes from FSA to FSG. For optimal dissipation of waste heat outside the control cabinet, the power unit is also available as a push-through variant. The sizes also offer Safety Integrated. Due to the robust design, cable lengths of up to 450 meters (size FSF/FSG) can be achieved. Shield plates and shield connection sets are available for EMC-compliant wiring.
